About Anse Marie Louise
In the south-east of Mahé and adjacent to Anse Forbans is situated Anse Marie Louise. Quite off the beaten track for the average tourist, its attractive sandy beach is a great place for picnics.South of Anse Marie Louise is Petite Marie Louise, accessible only by dirt road and forest trail. This secluded beach is short and enclosed by giant granite rocks. Small coral stones are scattered along the beach due to the close proximity of the reef while the stony ocean floor may make swimming difficult and require beach sandals. Swimming outside the reef can be dangerous due to strong underwater currents.
